Did the plant cost accounting and analysis to detect opportunities to improve plant productivity and profitability. Provide alternatives to

make improvements in the production process. Month end closings, analysis of results and preparation of key monthly reports. Do

account reconciliations and reviews.

Yachiyo Manufacturing (2009 to 2010)

Accounting Manager

Managed one accountant and one clerk. Set up a cost accounting system on excel to enable the analysis of plant

activities which identified opportunities for improvement.

BRIDGESTONE/FIRESTONE LaVergne, TN (1999 to 2009)

Global producer and marketer of truck and passenger tires.

Financial Analyst and Payroll Supervisor

Supervised three people in the payroll department for a 1500+ employee plant. Did account analysis and payroll

reconciliations for retirement accounts, FICA and Federal Income Tax withholding accounts. Reconciled payments

between the local and national union and the LaVergne plant. Generated general ledger entries, performed financial

analysis and inter company reconciliations. Supervised accounts payable and trained a new accounts payable clerk

when an accounts payable clerk left.

TAYLOR PITTSBURGH IMPLEMENT - Athens, TN (1997 to 1998)

Manufacturer and marketer of farm implements.

Division Controller -

Managed finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, accounts payable and receivables for the division. Established

the accounting department for Taylor Pittsburgh. Developed and did all of the cost accounting for the division.

Supervised two clerks.

ALLIED SIGNAL INC. 1987 to 1997

International supplier of automotive, chemical and aerospace products.

Plant Controller - Greenville, AL (1996 to 1997)

Returned to the Greenville plant as controller. Managed all accounting and reporting functions of the production

facility. Duties included: budgeting, financial closings, reporting, analysis and reporting. Developed standard costs,

calculated all material, labor, burden, and standard change variances and booked these variances monthly for the plant.

Did the year to year revaluation of the inventory at year end. Supervised three accounting clerks. Served on the six

person management team that ran the plant. Implemented best practices from the Maryville plant.

Accounting Manager - Maryville, TN ((1989 to 1996)

Performed all accounting functions for the Maryville plant with 1000+ employees. Developed the annual budget, did

all of the cost accounting, made all general ledger entries and generated all month end and annual reports.

Supervised one accountant and two accounting clerks. Lead person and Division System Administrator for the ADP

hourly payroll systems implementation for over 4,000 hourly employees at four manufacturing plants.

Cost Accounting Supervisor - Greenville, AL (1987 to 1989)

Maintained the Greenville plant’s $10M+ inventory and standard costs. Duties include: standard cost development,

standard change, and usage and substitution variance entries. Recorded the monthly production to the inventory. Did

physical inventory reconciliations and journal entries. Revalued all inventory transactions at year end. Multiple

monthly and yearly closing entries. Aided the controller in preparing the annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts.

Supervised five cost accountants. For several months, supervised six additional accounts payable and payroll clerks

when the General Accounting Supervisor position was vacant.

CELANESE FIBERS OPERATIONS - Florence, SC (1986 to 1987)

Financial Analyst

Cost analyst for a process cost system. Generated monthly production and variance entries, did monthly and annual

performance reports, annual budgeting, forecasting, general ledger entries and reconciliations.

FEDERAL PACIFIC ELECTRIC - Albemarle, NC (1985 to 1986)

Cost Accounting Supervisor

Developed and analyzed the division’s standard costs. Developed standard costs for new products and changes in

products to track and recorded standard change variances. Did the monthly journal vouchers to record production and

variances. Supervised three cost accountants.

CONTINENTAL CONVEYOR and EQUIPMENT COMPANY - Winfield, AL (1979 to 1985)

Cost Accountant. Did cost estimates for new products in a job cost and standard costs system. Extensive experience

with BOM’s, blue prints, labor routings, and variance analysis. Did cost estimates for one to ten million dollar
