Projects

Michigan House of Representatives:

I created a website and the pages with dynamic tables with hyperlinks to retrieve data from the database.

I created an application to insert data to the database with one of its incremental element which is created by current user and requested by selected employee.

I used visual studio 2005 and SQL server 2008.

Michigan State Medical Society:

I have been working to develop their website with visual studio 2010 and SQL server 2008.

I created a master page with headers with navigation menu with sub menus and footer.

The other pages inherited by the master page.

Lansing Community College:

• ASP.Net

I did the Sports Pro project with MS Access and SQL Server databases. In this project, I created a master page and I used it for all of the pages that my project has.

I used extensively combo box & drop down lists to get the customers’ & technicians’ information and list boxes to show the products for the customers’ data from data base. I used grid view, details view, list view and form view to show the customers & technicians from SQL server data base. I wrote cart & order applications with sessions. I used object data source to store to and get from database. I used form-based authentication with adding roles, users, and access rules to access my website.

I used multi view to show different pages through the main page. I used query builder, and I wrote queries to get and manipulate data from the database.

• JAVA Projects

I did a payroll application with the concepts of OOPs. I used Applet as a user interface to get the data. For the Applet, I used border layout with labels, text boxes, radio buttons, check box, and buttons. I used ArrayLists to store and process data and Files to store and retrieve data.

I did a product maintenance application that uses OOP concepts and it separates the presentation layer of the application from the database layer. At home, I developed this application in MVC architecture by using JSP as View and Servlets as Controller and Oracle 10g Express database as Model.

• In Advanced Web Development class, I involved in a group project to make a web site about how to make green money in different ways. For that project, I created a contact page form and tested our web pages with usability test in different web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

• In Systems Analysis and Design class, I joined in a group project for solving problems in a small landscape business. For that project, I drew structure flow chart and entity relationship diagram by using Microsoft Visio 2007 software.

• In Database Concepts, I learned database design and SQL queries with MySQL and Oracle database.
