Senior Project Manager - Currently in the Sports Division, Duties include project managing sports facilities, sales, estimating, facilitating lunch and learns, and managing all new construction projects for roads and parking lots and special projects. The sports facilities include artificial turf football fields, all drainage systems, earth work, field and track events, irrigation systems, electrical lighting systems, data, audio and video cabling, high tolerance concrete curbing and flat work, asphalt paving, surfacing, and striping the running tracks dependent upon the jurisdiction the facility requires. My different sports facilities completed include the NCAA, and the FHSA. Approximately four years ago the specific special projects include managing the construction of our past corporate office located in Tempe, AZ and am currently completed the management a new building to be utilized as Sunland Asphalts new corporate offices.

Markham Contracting Co. Phoenix, AZ 2003 – 2006

Senior Project Engineer - Responsible for 35 to 50 projects simultaneously. Duties include overseeing four to seven other project engineers and interns, reporting directly to the owner of Markham, managing projects specifically assigned to me, specializing in commercial contracts, team building, relationship building, plan management, problem solving, writing sub-contacts, estimating, documentation, reviewing contracts and billings. In addition, I monitor and understand the political climate with owners and sub-contractors, understand the company’s strategic management’s goals, develop and maintain schedules based on original bids, adhere to pertinent jurisdictions, facilitate meetings, and report impact of anticipated cost issues.

Sundt Construction Phoenix, AZ 1999 - 2002

Project Engineer - Heavy Civil Division & Building Division Responsible for various building and highway projects. Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club, Notredame High School, Charles Schwab Parking Lot Reconfiguration, I – 10 Rehabilitation Project at Tolleson, AZ. Coordinated all phases of construction activities. Main responsibilities were generating pay estimates, quantities, scheduling, and facilitating project meetings, reporting to the project manager and assist in forecasting project cost. In addition, I coordinated and controlled all costs with sub contractors, maintained contracts and change orders. Some design and problem solving was required.

Miller/Zell Atlanta, GA 1996 - 1999

Installation Manager - Managed and coordinated national roll out programs for retail and convenient stores. Primary scope of work consisted of graphic and fixture & cabinet installations. Main accounts were Mobil Oil, Exxon, and Esso International. Also involved in value engineering Wal-Mart, John Deer, Blockbuster, Rite-Aid Drugstore, Shell Oil, Sunnoco, and Ford Motor Co. Located, qualified, established relationships and hired reputable contracting companies. Generated construction budgets/estimates, site-specific takeoffs and acted as a liaison between corporate managers, field engineers, and Miller/Zells management team. Developed processes and manuals for the implementation and execution of various programs.

Project Manager/Consultant - Involved in all aspects of business: budgeting, estimating, scheduling, sales designs, accounting, drafting, and permitting, of primarily residential renovation projects.

Project Manager - Responsible for all general construction activities for commercial projects. Managed several construction projects simultaneously ranging from $50K to $15M. Involved in many different types of construction i.e. Hospitals, Schools, Pre-engineered Butler Buildings, Car Dealerships, and more. Acted as liaison between owners, architects, governmental agencies, developers and the company. Established budgets, and schedules, performed accounting procedures, designed and drafted projects, researched property deeds, controlled the change order process, obtained permits, coordinated and facilitated project meetings. Wrote all purchase orders, negotiated budgets and terms. Maintained, managed, and enforced those agreements.

Combustion Engineers/ The Randall Corporation Houston, TX 1980 - 1982

Instrument Fitter – Installed, maintained, calibrated, and repaired all pneumatic and hydraulic instruments that operate and maintain Cryogenic Natural Gas refineries. Built and tested control panels for all instruments on any given set of skids.
