2011 graduate of University of South Alabama Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program. Clinical sites include Level lll NICUs: Kosair Children’s Hospital, Louisville Kentucky and University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Lexington Kentucky. September 2008– December 2010: Vascular Access Specialist, Central Access, Lexington, KY. Responsibilities included placement of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs)/midlines utilizing ultrasound guidance and Modified Seldinger technique for pediatric and adult patient populations. Conducting educational training for clinicians in the vascular access field.

January 2010- December 2010: Instructional Specialist/faculty, Bluegrass Community and Technical College, Cooper Campus Lexington, KY. Responsibilities include lecture and didactic instruction for care of the newborn.

June 2009- December 2009: Interim manager/Charge RN Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. Responsibilities included performance management and professional development for 15 FTE’s for well-baby nursery and level IIB Neonatal Intensive Care, development and implementation of operational plans, educational plans, policy creation and revision, facilitation and regulation of state, CMS, and JCAHO standards within the Center for Women’s Health, data comparison on benchmarking, budget management, staffing guidelines, and employee performance evaluations. Benchmarking comparatives for catheter related blood stream infections and extensive research on infection prevention and hospital acquired conditions based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regulations and professional organizational standards. Responsible for data collection/reporting for Vermont Oxford Network.
