• April 2010 – Present – Workshop Foreman – employed by East Coast Truck and Trailer-Portsmouth, Virginia as the Workshop Foreman overseeing all shift work in a busy workshop environment. This workshop carries out servicing, maintenance, repair and inspection of company fleet trucks and trailers along with other trucks and trailers in for service. Duties included but were not limited to overseeing and documenting legally required scheduled maintenance, 24 hour breakdown recovery and day to day administrative and managerial tasks. Workshop carried out all major repairs (ie. Engine, transmission, final drive rebuilds, and body and framework repair).

• Section Supervisor II (April. 2008 – November 2009)– Employed by CSA, Ltd. In the Heavy Wheeled section at Camp Buehring. Working as the Section Supervisor II for the FMS B Wheels section. The DS/GS level workshop carries out maintenance and repair on a wide range of wheel vehicles which include (along with all associated trailers): 998 to 1151 range of Humvees, LMTV, FMTV, Hemmit, PLS, 5 Ton, HET, 915, 916, 917,1070. This workshop is a high paced environment carrying out major repairs to convoy vehicles running in and out of Iraq, which requires fast paced but at the same time, a very high standard of workmanship. As well as supervising, I also complete any required maintenance, major repair jobs and computer diagnostic trouble shooting.

I worked as an engineering equitment, heavy / light wheels and armoured track mechanic as support for the American Army, working on wide range of vehicles. I carried out 10 and 20 level inspections and maintenance, and 3rd shop level maintenance and repair. During working for M&E I worked on the following vehicles:CAT ; Bulldozers, Excavators, Bow Scraper, Grader, Bucket Loader. JOHN DEERE ; Excavator. WHEELED ; 998 to 1114 range of Humvees, LMTV, FMTV, HEMMIT, PLS, 5 TON, HET, 915, 916, 917, 1070, (all associated trailers). TRACK ; 113, 548, 109 Paladin and ammo carrier, 88 Tank Recovery Vehicle, Bradley. I worked directly with military, assigned directly to units in the build up to the 3rd ID’s deployments to the Middle East.

• January 2003 – October 2003 - O’Brien Demolition Co. – Workshop Foreman– Employed by O’Brien Demolition Co., located in Boldon, England as a Workshop foreman overseeing four day shift and two night shift staff in a busy workshop. This workshop carried out servicing, maintenance, repair and inspection of a company fleet of Scania trucks and a large fleet of Catepillar, Komatsu, Volvo wheeled and tracked engineering equitment. Workshop carried out all major repairs (i.e. Engine, transmission, final drive rebuilds Truck and Trailer body fabrication – frame repairs. Other duties included 24 hour breakdown, recovery and day to day administrative and managerial tasks.

• July 2002 – January 2003 – Volvo Truck and Bus Europe (Amsterdam, Holland) – Mechanic – Employed by Volvo Truck & Bus, Europe, as a Mechanic based at the Volvo Depot, Amsterdam, Holland. Duties included computer diagnostics, along with engine, transmission rebuilds.

• January 2001 – July 2002 – Volvo Truck and Bus Europe (Washington, England) – Volvo Tech 1 Status Mechanic - Employed by Volvo Truck & Bus, Europe as a Volvo tech at Tech 1 status based at the Washington Depot. Received training in computer diagnostics. Gained certification in instructional training of others which I used to train company’s apprentices to Volvo standards. Other duties included vehicle fault diagnostics and repair; engine, transmission, final drive rebuilds, and body and framework repairs; supervision of less qualified staff, and 24 hour breakdown call out.

• September 1999 – January 2001 – Freeway Haulage Ltd. – Workshop Foreman - Employed by Freeway Haulage, Ltd. located in Gateshead, Newcastle, England as a Workshop Foreman overseeing day shift staff in a busy workshop. This workshop carried out servicing, maintenance, repair and inspection of a company fleet of Scania trucks and trailers. Duties included but were not limited to overseeing and documenting legally required scheduled maintenance, 24 hour breakdown recovery and day to day administrative and managerial tasks. Workshop carried out all major repairs (i.e.: engine, transmission, final drive rebuilds).

• January 1992 – January 1998 – Nissan Car Plant (Sunderland, England) – Technician for Retro Section - Employed by Nissan Car Plant, Sunderland, England as a Technician in the retro section. The duties entailed all aspects of repairing completed vehicle faults. Worked with the Retro Squad working in various parts of Europe, repairing and inspecting vehicles previously sent from factory. Duties also included training of new members of staff to a competent level of mechanical ability and understanding of company vehicles. This training of other members of staff also included training of ISO safety standards.

• August 1983 – January 1992 – Sunderland Racing Development – Racing Car Manufacturer - Employed by Sunderland Racing Developments, Racing Car Manufacturer. Duties included the building of race cars and high performance road vehicles from the ground up, engine modifications, rebuilds, transmission rebuilds and framework using gas and electric welding equipment. Other duties included fabrication of vehicle parts; maintenance and repair of customer’s vehicles.
