The Benefits Administration functional component of the Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS) supports a variety of customized benefit programs and modes of delivery of services. Each benefit plan supports a unique set of eligibility criteria, restriction criteria, services, pricing methods, and cost sharing components. Benefit plans include State Medicaid and non-Medicaid programs, such as Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS), and Maternity Outpatient Medical Services (MOMS).
The Claims and Encounters functional area processes transactions from initial entry through final disposition and payment determination.
