Resume:

To Whom It May Concern:

Until recently my experience has been in the aviation industry, focusing primarily on leadership, operations and project management. I am now seeking an opportunity to apply these core competencies to a challenging position within aviation or mainstream business. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss my experience with you and illustrate why I believe my strength and experience in these skill areas could successfully be applied to your business. I do realize the competitive state of our current economy, but believe if given the opportunity, I could demonstrate to you the tangible and intangible abilities I could bring your organization.

As an aviation professional, I have over 15 years’ experience flying corporate jets; holding a position of leadership for 12 of those years. In this role I was responsible for workforce planning and talent management, as well as procurement, vendor management and business development. One of my greatest accomplishments during this time was growing our small, domestic operation into a larger, international organization. This included purchasing an additional larger aircraft capable of international flights, increasing personnel from two pilots to six pilots and two maintenance managers as well as all the associated complexities of growth and successful sustainability. With this new, larger organization, I applied the concepts of change management to instill my role as leader and purveyor of continuous improvement while developing staff performance and maintaining stakeholder relationships. In the years following, I continued to develop strength in areas such as strategic planning, organizational development, financial analysis, forecasting and projection, as well as risk management, regulatory acumen and resource optimization. As a leader of people I successfully coached, mentored and developed my team, also creating and executing a new performance management process. By coupling motivated employees with a clear business plan, we had positive growth and successfully fulfilled our new vision.

As the business unit leader I was frequently tasked with managing specific projects in addition to my daily operations and leadership responsibilities. Considering the nature of our business, these projects always carried significant financial responsibility as well as vital business impact. These projects required substantial coordination of aircraft owner and vendor management, as well as acute attention to the financial and operational impact. Compliance with federal regulations are not an option and therefore avoiding delays and ensuring project timelines were met was an additional, underlying objective that was critical to remaining operationally and financially sound. Examples of such projects include but are not limited to:

Business segment development: $4 – $6 million dollars

Aircraft acquisition: $10 – $12.5 million dollars

Capstone maintenance projects on aircraft: $1 – $3 million dollars

Routine maintenance project on aircraft: $75K – $1 million dollars annually

Strategic sourcing (Fuel, maintenance, training, insurance): $2 – $4 million annually

Contract negotiation: $300K – $600K dollars annually

After careful consideration, I believe my leadership, operations and project management experience would provide me with the tools necessary to successfully fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this position. Given the opportunity to meet you, I am confident that I will be able to address any concerns you may have about my experience and transition into mainstream business.

Regards,

Jeffrey J. Troccolo
