Skill set 1:effective speaking

-Experience with my own businesses and college course gave me the knowledge on the most important purpose of speaking is to show credible and knowledgeable about the subject that you are speaking about.

Skill set 2:management skills

-Doing online college classes and working I learned that time management was very important as a management skill. I have also learned that how important good business management skills guide you towards the right goals, and achievement of those will be highly effective from my own businesses.

Skill set 3: working together as a team

-It is very important that for a business to run smoothly and to have less stress within a company that their is effective team work and everyone is able to work together as a team. I have learned through customer service and my college courses that organization is needed to be able to track and complete all its tasks on time. Tensions can often arise if deadlines are missed. Team members need to evaluate information and propose creative solutions. Communication and negotiation are very important team members need the ability to state ideas or questions clearly, listen to others attentively, and to resolve disagreements in a non-confrontational manner.

Skill set 4:Accounting & Computer

-In my degree I took all my classes online. I took accounting 1,2,3. Business reports and computer communications. College writing 1&2.Several Math courses, Sociology, Marketing, etc. All of these classes are important to my degree and previous work experience due to the fact that I needed to know how to due my records for daycare in order to file my taxes, I had to know how to use the different programs on Microsoft Works & Microsoft office in order to keep proper records. In sociology I learned how to relate my own experiences with others.

Temporary Position

- My job duty for the United States Censuses in March was to hand deliver the 2010 questionnaires to citizens of Chenango County that were in my A.A. binder. I had to update maps, delete duplicate addresses, and add new residents if there was a new dwelling. The second part of my job called NRFU which was in April was to go back to individuals home that didn't send back there censuses questionnaires. If the individual was not at home I would leave a notice of visit, and then I would call them or they would call me, then I would set up an appointment to fit their schedule or I would interview them on the phone, which ever they preferred. In this type of employment you gain knowledge and it also builds your social skills in how to deal with different types of personalities.
