BUYER:
* Directly responsible for the planning, purchasing, & scheduling of ‘J.I.T.’ delivered materials (both raw materials and to spec or print)
* Processed quotes, created blanket orders, and established new vendor sources
* Intricately involved in vendor relations (including travel)
* Material expediting through vendors and also all in-house departments
* In-depth involvement in the installation of a new computer system, as well as assisted in establishing and executing quality standards for ISO 9001 certification
* Worked directly with engineering in procuring materials for new and redesigned products, along with maintaining the department’s everyday requirements

* Maintained a shop floor/MRP system along with numerous manual reporting systems

* Coordinated production efforts with Q.C., Test and Manufacturing personnel, as well as expedited all in-house departments
