Sales Representative

I am currently working with Akzo Nobel Paints as a Business Development Representative in our Home Depot Business Line servicing Home Depot stores in Pasco, Pinellas Counties. I am responsible for the sales of our brand name paints Martha Stewart, Glidden Premium, America’s Finest, and Speed Wall. My largest responsibility is building strong trusting relationships with the Home Depot District Manger as well as each Home Depot Store Mangers and their internal management teams and paint department sales associates. I work with the Home Depot team training them on all of the benefits and features of our products as well as analyzing their sales numbers versus the previous weeks and year to help them better understand were they are doing well and were there may be areas they can improve sales. I also help make suggestions on how they can improve in those areas that they may not be performing as well in by suggesting different sales strategies or trying to secure off shelf selling space to help increase sales of our brands. I complete training with the each stores paint department associates on a weekly basis giving them the knowledge they need in order qualify their customers and place them into the correct product to help them complete their painting projects. I also complete Meet and Greets a few times per week demonstrating our brands benefits and features as well as work with my Home Depot Store management teams to help support their store pro and weekend events throughout the course of the year. I am also responsible for building relationships with local painting contractors, general contractors, and Maintenance Supervisors and building owners in order to help them select the right products for their jobs resulting in increased sales for our brands as well as our share of the Pro Market. I am also responsible for completing projects and tasks directed to me from our corporate office utilizing our SFA website to document and close projects in a timely manner. Another one of my key responsibilities is training of new and existing business development representatives in their assigned territories on their daily business responsibilities as well as new corporate initiatives and new product roll outs.
