Job Responsbilities

Process Design Responsibilities:

To design and develop the process flow and P&I diagrams .

Calculations of Material & Energy balance of the plant.

Study and or development of Equipment Data sheets like Column, Heat Exchanger, Vessel, Tank etc.

Working closely with the Design office and Project team to develop optimum and cost effective solutions.

Hydraulic calculation for Pumps, Process Lines.

Raising instrumentation control logics for smooth operation of the plant.

Raising interlock logics for safety of plant.

Expertise in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Commissioning Responsibilities :

Involved in complete Erection and commissioning of Benzoic Acid plant.

Commissioning, optimization and handing over the systems.

Production Responsibilities:

Operation involved mfg. of Phthalic Anhydride (350 TPD) from O-Xylene Oxidation over V2O5 Catalyst by WACKER Process.

Monitoring & operating of exothermic reaction (415oc) control by salt Bath in Multi-Tubular Fixed bed Reactor of 6M Dia. (2Nos, 20000 & 15024 Tubes).

Gas cooler, Switch Condensers (Operating on Auto programmed) Distillation columns under vacuum (0.15 Bar (a)) & Flakers.

Captive power generation by steam Turbines (2Nos, 3.4MW) Operating on High Press.Steam (31 Bar) Produced from Exothermic reaction in Reactor.

Experience of handling DCS from YOKOGAWA.

Experience of Flakers and Bagging Units.

Changes & trouble shooting the process related problems during shift.

I have handled safe operation of process equipments as follows:

Packed bed & Vacuum distillations column, thermosyphning & kettle type reboiler.

Centrifugal pump, Reciprocating pump, Heat transfer equipments viz. Reboilers, heat exchanger.

Rotary pressure filter, Vacuum crystallizer, switch condenser.

Multi tubular reactor with 20000 tubes.
