EXPERIENCE
2009-Present PhD Thesis, “Multi-scale modeling of inertial flow through porous media” under supervision of Dr. Mayank
Tyagi, LSU
• Objective: develop and validate a meaningful inertial flow model for different types of porous media
• Investigated the permeability and Beta-factor change of proppant packs under stress
• Simulated flow of single phase flow through pore-scale samples of dolomite, limestone, and sandstone in order to
determine their properties such as permeability, porosity and beta factor
Jan-Aug 2007 Internship at TOTAL Oil Company, Pau, France,
• Modeled and simulated heavy oil recovery through Vapor Extraction (VAPEX) process and derived a formula for
predicting flow of heavy oil based on the simulation results
• Contributed in PVT analysis of a heavy oil (bitumen) sample provided by TOTAL
Spring 2006 Brent North East oil field simulation (Reservoir Management Project), IFP
• Built a reservoir model based on the geological and lithological information
• Investigated different configurations of wells (types and locations) to find the most efficient reservoir
management after doing economical consideration
• Simulated gas and water injection to Brent North East Oil Field
Spring 2006 Gas lift design project on real well data of North East oil field wells, IFP
• Considered different configurations of gas lift assembly using PROSPER package
Nov. 2007 Schlumberger Training Program, PUT
• Compositional reservoir simulation using ECLIPSE
