Universal Newborn Hearing District Coordinator/Operations Analyst
Serve as the primary point of contact for hospitals within the health district for all questions and concerns regarding the UNHSI program and protocols.
Responsible for gathering all required reports and data from hospitals within designated time frames.
Work with State UNHSI Coordinator and/or District contract audiologist to address hospital performance falling below set benchmarks on screening and referral rates.
Organize and assist in providing education and community outreach activities to promote awareness of UNHSI purpose and initiative.
Perform comprehensive tracking and follow-up of families within the district whose child has been referred to Children 1st through UNHSI, has had a referral on a follow-up screening, and/or has confirmed hearing loss.
Responsible for ensuring that benchmarks of screening by 1 month of age, diagnosis by 3 months of age, and enrollment in early intervention by 6 months of age are met within the district.
Report infants who are considered “lost to follow-up” to the State UNHSI Coordinator.
Responsible for ensuring linkage to early intervention services following diagnosis.
