My Experience

I have extensive experience in all aspects of water, wastewater collection and treament. This experience is inlaid with surveying, structural analysis and project management experience gained through the long history of engineering work. I have used Excel, Word, Power Point, Primavera, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, AutoCad, Epanet, and Staad III.

including the treatment plant (Oxidation Ponds).

1982-1989/National Water and

Sanitation Authority (NWSA)

/Seconded to the British Consultant Haward Humphrys, the supervisor of Sana’a Sewerage Project As a site engineer in Sana’a Sewerage Project tasks inluded:

• Daily sites visit to check the presence of the sites' inspectors and their performance and collect the daily work data.

• Inspecting sewers for alignment (full moon), manholes for inlets and outlet levels, benching, and water tightness.

• Taking the filed measurements to calculate the actual sewers' gradients and compare them with the design.

• Calculate the allowable water leakage for each section of sewers and compare it with the actual water leakage test results.

• House outlets investigation and modify sewers’ levels accordingly.

• Resolving problems that arise between the Contractor and the community in the working sites.

• Contribute in the final take-over of the project

Free-Lance Activities

1985 Surveying work for GITEC – a German Consultant Company – for widening Taiz airport road.

1991 Preparing a proposal for extending the industrial wastewater treatment plant of Hayel Sae'eed’s food factories in Taiz.

1992 Surveying work for GITEC – DORSCH using Total Station type WILD TC 1610 for three months in Tehama area.

1989-1996 Structural design, and cost estimates of all concrete structures handed to the Architect and Engineering Consultant Firm as a half time member ( 4 hrs / day).
