Academic Projects
Software: MATLAB Simulation based on RF technologies
Wireless System: Simulated a Wireless System which included channel block coding & turbo decoding, LR/TB interleaving & de-interleaving, Q-PSK modulation, Space Time block coding, ML decoding with real time wireless Rician channel for transmitting information with Gaussian noise.
Channel Modeling: Designed a MATLAB code which can generate normalized Rician / Rayleigh channel coefficients using Jake’s model.
Turbo Coding: Implemented a BCJR algorithm which can be used to decode (3,1,1) turbo code with one memory interleaver on MATLAB.
CDMA 2000 and IS 95: Simulated and compared Data Rate and Power for CDMA 2000 and IS-95 with 3 different strategies such as Equal Power Allocation, Channel Inversion and Water Filling for SISO, SIMO, MISO and MIMO using MATLAB.
MIMO: Using MATLAB applied Monte Carlo iteration to compare BER between 2x2 MIMO based on Alamouti scheme and 2x2 STTD (Space Time Transmit Diversity) scheme used in CDMA technology.
Random Signals: Designed a DPCM Model for Image Compression and calculate the error signal for different prediction schemes using MATLAB.
Triangulation: Using simple MATH, developed a C code by which we can track an object placed in a triangle.
Networking with controllers based on RTOS
RTOS – TCP/IP: Developed an end to end Network layer (TCP/IP) communication between PC and PIC controller through Ethernet 10Mbps cable. Controller acts as http server and accepts TCP connection and transfer web pages which are requested by host PC.
RTOS – LED’s: Developed a C code for the 24FJ64GA002 controller that implements a cooperative and preemptive RTOS with support for semaphores, yielding, and system timers.
Embedded: The controller will accept commands from a PC via an RS-232 interface and will continuously transmit a serial stream to control up to 128 devices at a 76Hz rate on a 4-wire full duplex RS-485 communication bus.
