I started off as an hourly Cashier, moved to Customer Service Cashier, and then promoted to a Team Leader. As a Team Leader I was responsible for opening and closing the store, counting all the tills and keeping up with the safe, auditing cashiers, distributing duties to the cashiers, ordered money daily, authorized returns, transferred out damages, trained new hires, monitored sales each hour, plan-o-grams, kept up with the layaways, ordered candy, maintained the appearance of the Front End and kept the impulse items full.
From Team Leader I was promoted to the M.I.T program. From there I learned how to run each department of the store and traveled to the corporate office for detailed training. After training I was promoted to salary as an Operations Manager. I was over the Front End, Administrative Assistant and Door Greeters. I managed sales and hours, payroll for over 100 employees, auditing store paperwork, schedules, training, communicating to the buyers, hiring, created modules, created tests and training tools for new associates, used Word and Excel on a daily basis, made supply orders, ordered fixtures for the store, plan-o-grams, customer complaints and compliments, employee concerns, evaluations, ordered the drinks, new hire paperwork, conducted orientations, dealt with 4473 Firearm paperwork, audited Firearm paperwork and signed employees up with the 401k plan. I also assisted in merchandising a new store and the store opening.

I left because the company was going strictly to send out processing and was shutting the photo lab down.
