Primary customers: Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo.

Responsible for design, capital allocation, and implementation of all packaging systems, both returnable and expendable, for plastic injection molded production parts.

Supervise and coordinate workers activities engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or distribution.

Inspect packaging operations to assure conformance to specifications by using cost effective materials.

Collaborate with manufacturing to design and implement packaging that will accommodate floor space and line speeds.

Champion a Kaizen team to create a recycling program for internally used bags, boxes, and sheeting.

Responsible for one-way degassing valve applicator division. Applicators are integrated with a customer's form, fill, and seal machine generally within the coffee industry.

Aided with custom packaging machine division with design and testing.

Travel to customer sites to determine machine integration possibility and design installation kits using Solidworks.

Investigate machine improvements, organize suppliers, test potential components, and make the final decision on implementation.

Assisted with company ISO 9000 audits as a Project Manager.

MASTERFOODS, INC. – CONTRACT PACKAGING ENGINEER

Chicago, IL - July 2008-December 2008

Created and implemented continuous process improvements at multiple customer sites.

Performed time studies on packaging lines to increase efficiency solutions up to and including machinery purchases.

Evaluated customer usage on expendable packaging to provide solutions for reusable work in process containers.

SONOCO PRODUCTS - PROTECTIVE PACKAGING INTERN

Created and designed sample tooling for customized production corner posts.

Performed all aspects of product and quality testing in accordance to ISTA specification.
