Take back the night
- A rally once a year to raise awareness in the area of Albany about domestic violence and sexual assault. Women and men come together to reflect on personal and other people’s pasts involving domestic violence and sexual assault. The gathering starts with people telling their past experiences as well as informational booths informing people of different programs locally and nationally that you can get involved in that fight the same issue, or provide help for victims. The rally then gathers and marches through the streets of Albany chanting phrases and spreading awareness against domestic violence. The march ends in a candlelight vigil to respect and honor the victims of domestic violence all over the nation, past, present and future.
