Intermodal Dispatcher/ Customer Service Representative

Daily Functions: Dispatching assigned loads. Set all pickup and delivery appointments. Add in system so that it is visible to customer service. Communicate any problems or rescheduled dates and times with customer service, so that they can notify the customer if need be. Keep track of all loads that are signed to draymen from start to finish. Once load is completed/ empty rail bill the load and give paperwork to customer service. Dispatcher will also be in charge of accessorial’s if any. Customer service is the only point of contact for all customers. Communicate problems, date change and completion of the loads to the customer. This information will be input/ provided by dispatchers. Quote rates to customers. Create a daily spreadsheet forward to customers and draymen on in transit loads. Once loads arrive at destination my draymen or I will schedule delivery appointments. Once a delivery appointment is scheduled the draymen will deliver loads and report any driver detention. Once load is completed customer service will keep all copies of paperwork and turn folder in for invoicing.
