Administrative Assistant

As an administrative assistant, I performed a large number of clerical and administrative tasks in order for the business to be able to run effectively and efficiently. I also organized files, both paper and electronic, scheduled appointments, distributed postal mail, faxes, and e-mails, answered telephone calls, met sales goals and produced excellent customer service skills.

Waitress, Hostess, Bartender and Cook

The duties as a waitress, hostess, and bartender involved making sure that both the restaurant's employees and customers are pleased. I represented the culture of the establishment. At the same time, relaying the customers' preferences were part of the job description, as well as creating a harmonious relationship between the restaurant and its customers. All of the duties included managing a cash register, tending to the customers, their food, and their dishes; making sure that those in the kitchen get the order in a timely fashion, making alcoholic beverage, getting the beverages out in a timely manner and ensuring that the check is paid.

Line Cook

The duties as a cook included maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards within the work areas, operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles, reading food order slips and receiving verbal instructions of the food required by patron, preparing and cooking food according to instructions, cooking the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously, scheduled activities and equipment use with managers by using information about daily menus to help coordinate cooking times.

Student Aide Counselor

As a student aide counselor, I developed a successful program for people with disabilities, empowered children and women life after prison. I coached groups of 5 – 12 individuals towards personal growth and development, mentored students between the ages of 11 – 17 with after school program, successfully tutored and developed study habits enabling the furthering of educational goals. I structured self empowerment seminars, rehabilitating women after prison release, provided proper placement for the women in group home by successfully educating and developing interview skills for job placement, as well as High school and college diploma attainment. I also assisted in the management of 3 Half-way Housing Projects with 10 - 20 women per home.

Community Service

I’ve worked with numerous organizations successfully managing service projects. Assisted in development of Angel Tree Programming developing funds to reach stated goals, helped rebuild numerous communities such as the State Capital and MLK Center with clean community and repaint and rebuild streets and building’s campaigns. Assisted in facilitation of Warrick Dunn’s Single mother project helping build homes for successful family placement. As well as volunteered thousands of community service hours, servicing less fortunate families of the Atlanta community, as well as generating sponsors for Woman’s Empowerment Program.

Leadership & People Management

Recruited, interviewed, screened, hired and orientated prospective interns and permanent placement hires from community and local projects, conducted professional and orientation training workshops, and provided academic and professional development and counseling for employees as well program attendees.
