Con Force Structural, Calgary Canada 2008 to 2010

QC Manager

• Responsible on the Quality Control of 3 precast production plants in Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton. Reporting to the Vice President, Prairie Region.

• Liaised with Production Manager for quality control of the production plant

• Elaboration of a new Quality System Manual for the 3 precast plants

• Performed Internal audits on Quality systems

• Preparation for CPCI/ PCI Precast Concrete Certification for the 3 precast concrete plants

Bilfinger Berger, Qatar 2007 to 2008

Manager Project Controls

Contracted to Al Sarya to oversee the erection of a new pre-cast concrete plant which supply Bilfinger Berger with pre-cast elements for the building of high rise structures.

• Co-ordinated and controlled the production of pre-cast elements

• Co-ordinate and control the erection of prefabricated elements for buildings ranging from 2 to 6 stories.

Construction oversight on an electrical parts manufacturing plant project. Working for the client to make sure the construction company works in a good quality and on time.

Siemens AG Power Station project in Bangladesh, overseeing construction through to completion.

Accomplishment: Upon joining, I was able to influence significant improvement in the quality of work carried out, resulting in a positive and successful partnership on behalf of the consulting firm with the client.

Nicolock Paving Stones, Long Island, NY Jan. 2004 to Aug. 2004

Production Supervisor

In charge of production, quality control and manpower for two paving stone plants.

Recruited from Germany to Long Island, NY to head up paving stones plant production.

Responsibilities:

• Production planning and scheduling

• Quality control

• Maintenance and care of plant equipment and machinery

• Supervision and training of all plant personnel

• Maintaining a clean and safe plant environment

• Oversight of 2 -10 hour shifts per plant and approximately 15 people per shift/ per plant

Accomplishment: The successful refurbishing of plant 1 with new equipment

Note: Due to changes made to my contract, requiring me to maintain accommodations for an undefined time period in both Long Island and Connecticut, unfortunately it was not feasible for me to continue my employment and due to my Work Visa restrictions; it necessitated my return to Germany.

Stangl AG, Waldkraiburg, Germany 2000 to 2003

Pre-cast concrete plants in Germany (~55 staff), Poland, (~ 60 employees) and Czech Republic (~45 employees). Oversaw production and plant maintenance for a primarily architectural pre-cast concrete production

• Oversaw 25 design engineers, estimators and construction staff

• Represented the company to various clients and was responsible for business development and contract negotiation activities

• Preparation, production and erection of a new mail-order facility - “Quelle” in Leipzig (approx. $100 million EURO in precast elements)

Works Manager (initially 750 employees) Dec. 1990 to July 1992

Responsible for overseeing plant production, administration, logistics and maintenance.

Following the reunification of Germany, plant operations were significantly downsized to optimize efficiency.

• Strategic reorganization and reduction of personnel to approximately 250 staff members.

• Full reorganization of the range of manufactured engineered products, to increase efficiencies and profitability.

• Massive reorganization of production areas, equipment and machinery within the plant.

Production Manager (approx. 550 staff members) July 1988 to Nov. 1990

• Production oversight of an entire range of residential building products, working in three shifts

• Mobilization of personnel, improving performance and overall plant production

Group Leader of the Basic Technology Division May 1986 to June 1988

• Collaborated with Architects and Structural Engineers on newly designed public housing projects and the pre-cast concrete structural building components, making design recommendations required for manufacturing

• Developed and implemented new manufacturing processes in the precast concrete industry to enable production of these new building components

• Developed new opportunities and designs improve the production quality of the precast concrete products I have searched for methods to produce more effectively and I have made drawings for to be able to build new parts for the molds.
