07/17/86 I became one of 20 people who worked on an encoding machine and processed and applied payments. Worked in that department until Allstate moved the dept. to Illinois in 1995.

06/05/95 I moved into the claims center where I would except live calls from customers and make outbound calls to customers.

01/02/03 At this time, Allstate moved the claim center, I did not want to relocate to Illinois, so my time of 22 years at Allstate ended.

06/23/03 I started working at Jon Barry and Associates which was a call center/collection agency. I became a collectors assistant.

09/20/08 I transferred to the self pay department of Jon Barry Assoc., which is also a call center.

11/19/08 My time at Jon Barry ended

Experience

Seven years of experience working on the phones in a call center for Allstate Insurance Co., and a total of over 22 years of work with the company. My job in the claims center was to ask the appropriate questions needed to file an accurate account of an insurance claim.

Using state, guidelines or format, in order to perform the job properly and within the laws of each state.

Five years of experience working for Jon Barry and Assoc. setting up medical payments with patients.

I have worked along side collectors for 5 years and was a self-pay collector for 3 months.

Familiar with the use of online reference systems.

Is very well adapted to working in a “high paced” work environment.

Very familiar with the HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
