Duties include the following:
Supervise the Firearms/Toolmark Section for the Montgomery Regional Laboratory.
Responsible for QA/QC requirements for the section, the monitoring of proficiency
Testing of the section employees, ordering/stocking of supplies for section, monitor
Section productivity and report numbers to Lab Director and State Discipline Chief.
Examination of firearms and ammunition submitted to the laboratory within the twenty-four county territory of Region III to determine whether or not a bullet or cartridge case was fired in a particular weapon. Examination of submitted weapons to determine working order, safety, and origin. Tool mark examinations to determine whether or not a particular tool made a particular mark. Distance testing of firearms and examination of clothing for firearms residue. Crime scene examinations, serial number restorations and ballistic analysis. Compiling written reports and courtroom testimony on findings. Provide field assistance to law enforcement agencies in conduction of crime scene investigations with a wide range of case types. Provide education to outside agencies in the form of presentations to law enforcement, prosecutors and defense attorneys in the gathering and examination of forensic evidence.

Duties include the following:
Perform chemistry tests, hematology, coagulation, urine analysis, immunohematology, serology, immunology, and microbiology on patient samples. Data would then be interpreted and reported to physicians/clinicians. Quality control and quality assurance would be carried out on a day-today basis to validate all of the above testing. Quality control would be interpreted to decide if the data would be acceptable and reported, or interaction needed and repeated. Assist in emergency situations by performing venipuncture in the Emergency Department.
