• Major contributor to a $1.5 million inventory reduction effort through part identification and clarifying the reusability internally. Also, scrapping items that are truly obsolete.

• Negotiated numerous Long Term Agreements by consolidating like commodities to help leverage spend. We can do this by using the best overall vendors based on quality history, on-time delivery and overall costs. This resulted in over $400K in savings in 2011 alone.

• Project manager for the development and implementation of an E-Kanban system which reduced inventory by over $500K

• Assisted in the design and implementation of a report that takes all the appropriate data from JD Edwards and drops it into excel, which gives buyers and planners useable information that can easily be massaged and used independently.

• Improved inventory turns on my specific commodities from 3.6 to 10.3

• Identified a 1.7M dollar savings by purchasing our products in the correct increments based on accurate ABC code data.

• Improved warehouse layout and material distribution to achieve $165k in annual labor savings.

• Wrote Standard Work instructions for each, made sure associates were thoroughly familiar and trained.

• Lead the development and initiation of an access program that allowed materials personnel to deliver parts to the focus factories before they needed them. (A pull system). What did take five full time employees now takes one 4 hours. ($225,000.00 annual savings)

• Initiated the development of several inventory tools to improve accuracy. When I accepted this challenge, our inventory accuracy was 76 %. It’s now above 97%!

• Reduced the number of associates through transfers and natural attrition from 24 in 2001 to the current number of 12 through process improvements and layout efficiencies which comes to an annual savings of $600,000.

• Also, in 2005 we shipped $80M; today we are shipping over $125M. (= 56% increase in sales)
