Title : National Commercial Bank

Client : NCB, Jamaica.

Role : ETL Developer

Duration : April 2011 to till date.

Description:

National Commercial Bank (NCB) is one of the leading banks in Jamaica. NCB has a strong record of growth and profitability. There are total 11 branches across the island. Information sits on various platforms. The aim is to migrate oracle-based platform.

The goal of the project is to provide ETL process to extract all orders from CI systems that require Emerald lookup as part of NCB project and send the report to Business community. The load process is scheduled to run twice a month. Business object is tool used for generating reports.

Responsibilities:

Understanding the Functional Team requirements & specifications

Documenting Test cases and reviewing

Tuning of the mappings to enhance the performance

Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of data by using Informatica Power Center.

Extracted source data from flat files, Oracle and loaded to an Oracle.

Developed mappings in Informatica Power Center Designer to load data from staging environment to warehouse.

Created mappings using the transformations such as the Source qualifier, Aggregator, Expression, Router, Filter, Sequence Generator, and Update Strategy.

Created and Monitored Informatica sessions.

Checked and tuned the performance of Informatica Mappings.

Project : Life insurance data warehouse.

Client : American Skyline Insurance Company

Role : ETL Developer

Duration : Feb2010 to March 2011.

Description:

American Skyline Insurance Company (ASCI) is one of the world’s respected players in Health Care Insurance industry. This conceptual enterprise Data Warehouse model provides Enterprise wide solution, which deals with several treads of the business like Audit& IT Analysis, Billing & Payment Analysis, Disability Claim Analysis, customer Profile Analysis, Customer Service Analysis, Financial Analysis, Human Resource Analysis, Marketing Analysis and Sales Channel Analysis. It also supports the Operational Reporting Strategies Development from which it is extracting the data through Flat Files, Oracle then Transforming, and Loading into Oracle target database. We first constructed the Data Marts according to the identified subject areas and then integrated them into Data Warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Identified and created different source definitions to extract data from input sources and load into relational tables using Informatica Power Center.

Extensively used ETL to load data from Oracle, flat files to Oracle.

Extensively used aggregator, expression, lookup, and update strategy, transformation

Involved in Creating Sessions, Workflows Using Workflow Manager

Analyzed Mappings and Sessions for better performance.
