My Name is Scott R. Treat and have recently completed my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science

with a special interest in Watershed Systems. I am searching for a position that will utilize my education

and enthusiasm in natural/environmental resources.

My education and passionate work ethic have given me many skills and an understanding when

analyzing on site data. I have extensive ArcGIS data collection and application experience. Along with

laboratory experience in biology, chemistry, and geology I have working experience utilizing

environmental field labs to assess water/soil chemistry and water/soil integrity indoors and in the field. In

the lab I have researched and observed a multitude of specimens and samples through the use of

bioassays and specialized lab equipment. In the classroom I have had formal education regarding state

and federal laws, rules, and regulations in regard to natural resources.

Obtained, processed, and analyzed a variety of spatial data products (including LiDAR data)

and general in field analysis support in fast past forums with evolving deadlines, fluid project

goals, and fluctuating team dynamics. The position encompassed all aspects of LiDAR and

other remote sensing data acquisitions. Supported airborne data collection operations

throughout the U.S. requiring extensive travel with field rotations lasting over two weeks in

duration. Routinely filled sample labels, performed chain of custody logs, and provided photo

logs and daily field logs. Excelled working independently, as well as, in team settings. Utilized

efficiency trouble solving abilities, computer proficiency, and a understanding of geospatial

concepts and GPS survey methods to meet project goals and deadlines under high stress

environments.

Laboratory & Field Technician March 2009 - December 2011

Conducted and maintained multifaceted experiments for the Mormon Crickets Research Study.

Daily activities consisted of conducting bio-assays, and operating lab equipment for use on

testing and research. Organized, prepared and submitted routine records pertinent to research.

Harvested fungi spore(s) from soil samples in an effort to isolate a biological pesticide from

Beauveria and Metarhizium fungi. Assisted fellow researchers with isolating and identifying fungi

then tested their effects on insects in the field.
