July 2012

Dear Sir/Madam:

With over 30 years of increasing responsibility in Materials Management my skills have been finely tuned. I am an experienced analyzer, effective organizer, and innovative manager. I have in depth work experience in all phases of Materials Management including purchasing, central supply, storeroom, shipping and receiving, and safety.

I was recently included in our sixth lay-off at the facility I worked at for 20 years. The lay-off was due to ongoing financial issues and increased competition. At one point a few years ago we were the only hospital in our area and now three additional hospitals have opened in close proximity to us and their services have continued to expand. For this reason our patient census has continued to steadily decline, our facility was sold in October 2011 and the reduction in staff, reorganization, etc., has continued. With that in mind I am searching for new opportunities, heave a great deal of expertise to offer and am ready to start work immediately.

If your facility is looking for a Materials Management Director with proven abilities you will be interested in reviewing my resume.

My educational experience includes study at Victoria College and Pan American University with all courses directed towards management. In addition I have often been recognized with awards for outstanding achievement by my employers.

Long hours and hard work are not obstacles to this results oriented manager and it would be a pleasure to discuss the application of my experience to your specific needs in a personal interview. I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Randy E. Carr
