Customer Service Manager (2005 – 2009)
Led the customer service department in support of $100 million division. 6 customer service representatives were focused on over 200 Automotive and Non-Automotive customers in the global market.
• Led the development and implementation of a Kanban system of replenishment for 48 SKU’s with Honda Motor Company. Using forecasts of a 12 week production cycle, we were able to complete an ABC analysis, and implement a system of daily releases for 7th day delivery.
• Directed customer service Kaizan activities focused on shortening the order to cash cycle. We were able to reduce the order entry to shipment segment timing to 3 weeks from 6 weeks.
• Expedited customer complaint resolution. Working in conjunction with Quality and Finance representatives, we reduced 120 day average in 2007 to 30 days in 2008.
• Leveraged production experience to move the division towards 100% on time delivery to customer request. Focused the manufacturing team leads on customer request dates, manufacturing lead times, inventory utilization, and promised ship dates, and using a 2007 baseline of 71%, we were able to improve to 92% in 2008.
• Directed customer service efforts during the implementation of MFG PRO. Customer Service functions were complete and running 100% on day one of the change over.
• Initiated weekly forecast discussions with our customers for planning and inventory applications. This improved planning and inventory management resulting in a $3MM reduction of inventory from 2007 to 2008.
