The mission for Ammunition Company is to support all units, which train annually and to deploy, by distributing and receiving munitions ordnance while maintaining accurate inventory in the Ammunition Supply Point, with all the proper safety precautions for sensitive material such as ammunition, followed by proper paperwork procedures. As an E-4 I was a working supervisor maintaining accurate counts on what ammunition is being distributed and obtain accurate counts on what ammunition is being turned in as well as supervising Marines of lesser grade than me ensuring they are doing their job by following proper procedures. We ensure all ammunition loads that are being transported are all compatible with each other’s hazard classes. We also ensure all trucks carrying ammunition have pallets for ammunition to sit on and the ammunition is properly strapped to the pallet as well as properly strapped to the truck before exiting or upon entering the Ammunition Supply Point.
