In January 2011, I agreed to take on a 6 month freelance project for a startup company called African Currency Exchange. I completed the task in 3 months and my primary responsibilities included:
- Putting together a comprehensive business plan and trading strategy for ACEX.

- Incorporating the business as a GBC 1 in Mauritius.
- Setting up and negotiating dealing facilities for ACEX with various banks Mauritius.

Reason for leaving: We signed a license agreement with a 3rd party to take over both platforms. I was responsible for negotiating the terms of this agreement. I resigned from my position as MD to pursue new interests.

In 2005, I started a Foreign Exchange brokerage called FC Exchange. In under 5 years and in the middle of one of the worst economic periods in history, we went from 4 staff to over 40 and created a business with offices in 5 countries that turns over more than £350 million a year.
Major Achievements:
- Building and managing an extremely successful dealing team.
- In 2009 I restructured the company trading floor and introduced a number of new operating procedures designed to increase daily activity and overall productivity. Within 3 months, we increased the company profits from £225k to over £350K / month. FC Exchange have continued to produced similar results ever since.
- Establishing and training a successful senior management team.
- Building a network of affiliates which consists of over 1,500 international introducing brokers.
- I’ve recruited and trained over 100 top performing sales executives.
- I helped establish satellite offices in Cyprus, Portugal, South Africa and Dubai.
My Responsibilities Included:
- Compiling daily market analysis reports used to brief the dealing floor
- Recruiting & training new sales staff
- Managing the company trading floor
- Managing the day to day sales activities and introducing new commission structures and incentives

While there I exceeded every monthly target set for me, to this day I remain one of the company’s most profitable traders. FCD turn over in the region of £500 Million / year.
