1. Assist construction team with general Engineering and Construction issues.

General responsibilities as Piping/Mechanical Superintendent/Field Engineer/ Coordinator:
1. Coordinate and Control people
2. Coordinate and assist QC Inspectors to prepare test packs for pre-punch.
3. Advice client officially when test packs are ready for punch unit.
4. Ensure that all necessary signatures from the client are abtained on the pre-punch.
5. Assist in pre-hydro back punching.
6. Coordinate hydro test with foreman.
7. Ensure that all documentation is in place (correct gauge certificates, correct pressure, correct positioning of test spades)
8. Ensure that the flushing is done and signed immediately after hydro test by client.
9. Coordinate re-instatement and expedite permanent gaskets and inline instruments, control valves, strainers, rupture disks, PSV’s etc.
10. Advise client and Sasol that test systems are ready for post punch.
11. Ensure that the packs are returned to QC department for auctioning of punch lists, if any, and final handover.
12. Attend handover meetings.
General responsibilities as Fitter:
1. Maintaining mechanical equipment such as centrifugal pumps,
2. Gearboxes, positive displacement pumps, cooling towers, pressure testing, vessels, compressors, valves, plate heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, double DTI alignment, and refrigeration plant maintenance.
3. General repairs and replacements
