Provide labor and oversight of all Fire Alarm activities for HVAC contractor in Tucson, Arizona. Roles include: Estimating, system design, scheduling, installation, service, and performance records. Primary projects would include; the ongoing maintenance, installation, and inspections of Carondelet hospitals and their networked Notifier systems, maintenance and installation of Hochiki systems for Sunnyside School District, and maintenance and installation of systems for Gila County.

10/05-10/08: Project Manager for Copperstate Technologies, Tucson, AZ

Overseeing and assisting with the installation of a networked Notifier Fire Alarm system at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital of Tucson. Duties consist of: Conduit installation, all terminations, and programming of all nodes. Products include the first Notifier Digital Voice controllers installed in the US. Also performed Project Manager and Lead Technician duties in our Yuma, AZ branch where we installed Fire and Suppression systems in multiple hangars. These sites required security and background checks. Left this position when company merged and position was limited.

7/04-7/05: Technical Representative, Monaco Enterprises, Spokane, WA

Performed installation and programming for Monaco’s wireless transmitters and receivers at US

Military installations. Installations included a full Mass Notification system in Corpus Christi, a

Security and Card-Access system at Fort Jackson, and Central Station set-up in Dover, Delaware

All sites required security and background checks to work on site.

08/01-06/04: Project Manager for Precision Alarm-Lynnwood, WA

Signed on as a fire alarm field technician where my duties included installation, repair, and inspection. As our main supplier was Notifier, I performed the installation and programming necessary for all panels in the manufacturer’s line, for which I received training and certification. My work ranged from small tenant improvements to networked high-rise systems with smoke control and some suppression systems such as Inergen and FM 200. I was promoted to the position of project manager where my work includes administrative duties, the design of systems, ordering, working with the electrical contractors who contract our services, and commissioning of systems with Fire Marshall. Highlights include design, project management, and creation of logic matrix of $165m Seattle Central Library Fire Alarm and Smoke Control interface.

1990-2001: Owner/Administrator of Advantage Security Systems

Worked as a sub-contractor for larger firms in the Seattle area including Guardian Security, Precision Alarm, and Honeywell Protection for the installation of their Fire, Security, and Access systems. Installed wide ranging brands of equipment including Notifier, Ademco, Silent Night, Radionics, Honeywell, Cassi-Rusco and varios others.

Participated in the bidding and design process and provided necessary labor and supervision of apprentices during installations and confidence testing.

1986-1990: ADT Security Systems, Seattle Washington Alarm Installation Technician

Installed, inspected, serviced and repaired numerous fire and security systems of ADT’s proprietary equipment and outside brands. Worked primarily self-supervised in their Tacoma satellite branch.
