• Over 30 years in industrial coatings including 6 months Paint Superintendent, 10 years as Paint Foreman, 2 ½ year as Q.C. Inspector of nuclear coatings and 8 years as NACE Certified Coatings Inspector #6753 and 2 ½ years inspection prior to NACE Certification.

• Coatings include; FBE, TSA, Xylan, Splashtron, fire proofing- Chartex 7, insulation, injected and foam sprayed polyurethane, extruded polypropylene, Pipe in Pipe/insulated with water stops, heat shrink sleeves and air dry coatings.

• Projects; New construction and maintenance on chemical plants, including lead abatement, also offshore equipment, sub sea, pipe line, Air Force Base, Spool Base, 3 Texas Bridges, a ship’s holding tanks, inspection of tank liners and equipment, inspection of wind tower sections in fabrication process and survey of coatings on erected towers.

Then 3rd party inspector at ITC on Battle Ground Rd, La Port with 3 contractors in progress of coating contracts.

Sept.2007 to Jan. 2008: 3rd party inspector for Vestas Denmark at Shreveport La., Beaird Company. Contracted by Orion Engineering, Houston Texas to assist in QA & QC coating program. The coating of wind towers in fabrication shop. Inspections include- blast, metalizing/Thermal spray/ark- zinc and 3 coat air dry coatings.

April 3, 2006 to September 27, 2007: Vendor surveillance for FMC Technologies, 1777 Gears Rd, Houston, TX, Contracted by DTI, Spring TX. Coatings include selective brush Nickel Plating, TSA, Xylan, ceramic, 3coat air dry coatings and perform documentation review at vendors. Monitored dimensional, LP. Dye penetrate-NDE on seal surfaces.

Q. A. Q. C. Inspector at Kellogg/Brown & Root Yard, Houston Texas, Contracted by Swain & Associates, Houston Texas for the BP, Thunder Horse Project. Responsibilities were monitoring all surface prep, coating applications and review of contractor’s documentation for traceability.

Marathon Oil, at Bayou Pipe, New Iberia, La., contracted by Construction Technical Services Inc. Houston, Texas. Inspected FBE, pipe in pipe, foam sprayed polyurethane, and 2 coat epoxy on pipe line project. Performed shop surveillance on Splashtron coating in Franklin La.

July, 2003 to April, 2004

Moody International Amelia Div. at New Iberia La., working on Petro Brass’s FPSO P50. Inspections of Euro Navy coatings, TSA, Chartex 7 fire proofing, insulation, tank liners, equipment, all on 4 modules. Responsibilities were inspection and testing of coatings and qualifying applicators for TSA applications.

April to July, 2003

Glen Tech International, Houston Tx. at Theodore Alabama, Coflexip Stena Spool Base.

Q.C. inspector for Spool Base on these projects: Chevron-Mattahorn project, BP’s King West project, Williams-Devils Tower project, and on Shell’s Nakika project. These are deep water pipe lines.

The Shell project also has pipe in pipe with insulation and water stops. Pipe coatings consisted of fusion bond coated, injection mold polyurethane, heat shrink sleeves, and flame sprayed.

February to March, 2003
