Key Projects:

BG ELECTRIC MODEL:

Description: This project involved in developing the electrical model of 12kv substation. Client had provided gps data as input to this project and also he had provided the sample model. By using the gps data and sample model, we need to create all the symbolgy for the Poles (SupportStructure), fuses, reclosers, capacitors, regulators, switches, sectionalizers, street lights, anchors, spanguys, primary & secondary wire stranding and transmission lines. The connectivity must be checked from the substation all the way out to the end of the line or open point as a QC measure

Responsibilities:

Actively participated in Impact AnalysisWorking with the Project manager on definition of development requirements and priorities

Involved in Designing, Development phases.

Reporting on progress/issues to management

EXHIBIT G DRAWING DEVELOPMENT:

Description: This project will involve the production of detailed FERC Exhibit G CADD drawings that will cover the entire project area, approximately 68,000 acres over four counties in South Carolina. All drawings will conform to the supplied drawing templates and will be created at specified scales, sizes and with appropriate engineering fonts. All drawings will be black and white, no color or gray scale is to be used. All data supplied by Orbis will be in an ESRI personal geodatabase format or an appropriate CADD drawing file. We need to convert all data into the correct CADD format for the project.

CAD TO GIS PARCEL DATA CONVERSION:

Description: This project involved the conversion of the county CAD files into GIS layers in the ESRI Personal Geodatabase format. The project involved the usage of the ArcGIS suite and AutoCAD Map. The AutoCAD drawing files were edge-matched and appended into a single seamless drawing. The single drawing file was further used to create feature classes and with tax roll information. The layers were converted into polygon and line shape files and loaded into Personal Geodatabase feature classes.

Responsible for pilot conversion, data conversion, final formatting, topology creation and Quality control/Quality Assurance.

Also involved in project planning, initiation, Process Design and client requirement analysis. Participated in regular technical discussions with the client for quality issues.

PARCEL MAPPING:

Description: Project involved analyzing the GIS data of a county (includes parcel, street, and administrative boundaries in varied CAD/GIS formats) for fitness for use to create assessors plat book-pages. In addition, creation of the Index Maps following PLSS standards (if applicable) and corresponding Assessor Maps in CAD and Microstation environment was also dealt with in this project. Project also involved clipping of county GIS data with reference to index grid, label generation and cartography styling for good cartographic representation. The project was built in ArcInfo NT, ArcView, AutoCAD environment. Responsible for coordinating Data pointing works for over 30 counties/cities using Microstation workflow provided.
