To find something that implores wonder. Utilizing my past work in formulation, optics, and solar cells, I want to work with a company designing new, exciting, green ideas for a better world. Available: August 2012.

Design of acrylics, alkyds, polyurethane dispersions, and more to meet specific coating needs. Extensive ASTM/ISO 9001 work with a variety of testing methods and equipment to design/analyze coatings (WVTR, QUV, TGA, adhesion, gloss, scrubbing, flow, VOC numbers, and much more). Design of large scale coatings manufacturing processes. Providing product failure analysis. Responsible for lab instrument quality control, chemical spill safety procedures, scheduling waste disposal, and general lab safety.

Nanotechnology Research, KTH University Stockholm, Sweden Research, with Professor Andreas Fischer Winter 2010 Studied crystalline lattices of various metals and salts on a nano-scale, to better understand how physical conditions affect crystal growth.

Extensive work with Scanning Electron Microscopy- interpretations and results. Continued past research with the properties of carbon nanotube superlattice development.

Chemical Engineering Department, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, MI Research Position, with Prof. Nicholas Kotov Summer 2007 Analyzed and presented new research information on carbon nanotube superlattice development, using layer by layer (LBL) techniques with the clay polymer, PDDA. Designed and conducted experiments to test the photovoltaic, piezoelectric, and thermoelectric properties of carbon nanotube compounds. Created and discovered conductive e-textiles- Research that is now being used in medical work. Worked with ellipsometers, UV-VIS, to measure and view superlattice structures.

Solar Powered Car (Member), University of Michigan Ann Arbor, MI Member of the Concentrator Array Team 2007-2008 Co-Designed the Solar Concentrator Array (A linear system of parabolic mirrors, designed to concentrate sunlight into highly efficient solar cells), new to the vehicle, Continuum. Programmed for the weather strategy team- Recorded NOAA recordings of past weather trends to extrapolate and estimate sunlight angles and magnitude anywhere in the world for the present day. Ran graphite sheet layup of the car, researched companies for parts, and much more.

Laser Defense, TACOM Military Base Warren, MI Intern, under Researcher John Vala Summer 2005 Worked with optical engineers on finding a defense for soldiers from high-powered laser weapons (blindness, through laser attacks). Designed and tested an apparatus to analyze and prevent this new potential threat.

C++, Java, Matlab, Ruby, Maple, Visio, Linux, Auto Cad, Photoshop, as well as Solid Works. Order of the Engineer. AIChe. Proficient in Spanish. Beginner Swedish proficiency. Awesome Automation – Wrote an electronic book/blog that delved into computer automation, teaching how to write computer scripts in order to get around monotonous work (Sold online). Self pursuit to research Non-Imaging Optics, and other new forms of Alternative Energies. Writing and Performing Standup Comedy
