Work experience
2001-2003
Bucko Construction
Night mechanic. I worked on hydraulics on tri axel and quad axel dump trucks
I also did all general maintence, brake jobs, transbreak repair, and clutch replacement.
Reason I’m no longer working there, I was laid off because of no work.
2003-2004
Mr. Transmission Lowell
I removed and replaced transmissions. I also rebuilt transmissions on rear wheel and front wheel drive vehicles.
Reason I’m no longer working here because, I had moral differences about charging customers for parts that we did not change and other personal differences.
2004-2005
Apex Digital
(Subcontractor for Direct TV)
I installed and repaired whole house satellite systems.
Reason I’m no longer working there is because, we had to pay for our own fuel for there trucks and after fuel reached 3.00 a gallon I could no longer make a living.
2005-present
Polar Ice System
I started as just an Ice machine maintence tech.
In 2007 I became service manager. I am also lead tech, senior tech, I take care of the whole shop, I am the technical support for the rest of the crew. I am also the only tech that can work on all flakers, and all major manufactures of ice machines.
I have also been the tech working on prototypes for Manitowoc and Scotsman,
which include the prodigy and just recently the I series ice machines.
Ice machines are my main passion and I enjoy everything about them.
I have also worked on modifying older systems to look like new.
I have also converted remote and air cooled units to water cooled units.
I have been working on converting water cooled to be a self contained glycol.
The reason I’m looking for work is the work load is too much with being the service manager and everything else that is put on my plate. I do enjoy my job but after all of these years I have trained about 28 people and have spent so much time worrying about saving the company money and time to just start over every season with a new crew.
Due to recent changes to office personnel and policies, my current and best crew has started looking for other work.
I do not want to be in my 30-40s and looking for a new job.
This job no longer feels stable for the long run.
I am in need of a job that I can plan to keep for a very long time.
