McCain Foods Limited is a privately owned Multinational leader in frozen food industry. McCain Foods is the largest producer of frozen French Fries and the manufacture of other quality food products sold in more than 110 countries It has many webs catering to different products, different regions and in different Languages.
Description: CMMS – Computer Maintenance Management System is used to maintain plant machinery with in McCain plants. The IVARA has been selected as go forward application for all CMMS implementation. The CMMS has two key interfaces which are PRMS and Ariba. The PRMS is used for all static master data as single source of entry as well as for General ledger entries and invoices. The Ariba is E-procurement application used as purchasing solution.
Considering the different platforms of the surround applications and the complexity involved, a main interface engine named IVARA INTERFACES has created using VB.net technologies to transfer data like Vendor master, Exchange rates, Account master, Account payable, General ledger from Ivara to PRMS and Item master, Purchase order interfaces has created to transfer data from Ivara to Ariba and that will reside in Ivara application server. The interface database will be logically partitioned so that the data is secured between companies and also enhances control of the interfaces. Menu bars, buttons, and other required screen attributes are used to make the interface easy to use and configurable across multiple implementations.

Description: The Customer Relation Management is a Client/Server project, which is mainly used by the McCain Sales Representatives all over the world. They used this UI interface for managing the data with all functionalities like searching, adding, deleted, updating, Printing, maintaining the data for different groups like Administration, Users and Viewing the same data in both Form and Grid modes and much more. Sales Representatives use this interface to manage the data locally in offline mode and then they synchronize the data so that by Replication process all the data will be stored back to the production database. Customer Management Tool is somewhat similar to Customer Relation Management with some more enhancements like maintaining data in hierarchy and using the new technology like Microsoft Application blocks, Visual Basic 2005, .Net 2.0 framework.

PIR and FRM are two out sourcing JAVA applications where in different data will be stored regarding products prepared by McCain. And so the data can be extracted only in the form of XML and as it is difficult to view and work with this information by users, we have created a program, which first loads the data from XML to SQL tables. And then created a UI interface which is friendly to users to view the data using VB.net and ADO.net.

Project Insurance Management System
Description: This Insurance Management System deals with the insurance for customers. First it accepts all the customers who are interested in insurance. Then all the data about the customers is stored in database giving a unique policy number to each customer. And many categories are maintained like the type of policy for the customer, who is the agent for the customer. Money should be retuned to customers based on the insurance they are used. At the same time all the agents should be given commissions based on the number of customers they are compromising to accept the different polices. Frequent updating should be done without missing.

Project Implementation of Redundant Control Center
Today DRDO is 50 labs strong and is deeply engaged in developing defence technologies covering various disciplines like acrobatics, armaments, electronics, Combat Vehicles, engineering systems, instrumentation, missiles, advanced computing and simulation, special materials, naval system, life sciences, training information systems and agriculture.
Description: This project was done in partial fulfillment of Bachelor of Technology In Computer Science.
To alleviate the problem created by using centralized control mechanism we use decentralized (distributive) method of controlling the system i.e. control is distributed over the system. Each of the elements present in the system in distributed system acts as a Control Center (CC) in case of failure of any other CC.
In the first step towards the decentralization we try to develop a shadow or slave or hot standby CC for the Existing CC which takes over the control of the system in case of any failure in the existing CC and relinquishes back the control when it comes up.
Then this Shadow CC is then replicated over all the system elements and priorities are assigned statically for them, which lead to a complete decentralization of the system
