Project Description:
Finance IT GGL deals with receiving feeds (flat files) from various upstream, posting them to ledger through execution of thousands of Autosys batches and generating reports to various downstream on a daily basis as per business requirements.
Autosys features event-driven IT automation that allows execution of unattended background jobs (AKA Batch Processing). Workload Command Centre (WCC) provides a graphical user interface (GUI) and a single point of control for definition and monitoring of background Autosys batch executions. WCC r11.0 a browser-based application which allows job management and editing, plus customizable view creation and granular permissions to be created.
Batch Support Team is responsible for creating/monitoring job workflows as well as restarting/killing background jobs as and when required.
GGL has a highly critical month-end process which marks the closure of accounts and hence demands smoother operation from support perspective.
Key Roles :
Scheduling/Monitoring workflows/Restarting/Killing/Checking dependencies of Autosys batches in UNIX and Workload Command Centre (WCC) console as per requirement.
Working with file and process management commands in UNIX.
Writing shell scripts to automate tasks as per business requirement.
Querying Oracle databases with SQL and PL/SQL in order to extract the business-requested data or to find the root cause of a feed posting related issue and solving it.
Dealing with Autosys batch failures – trying to find the root cause and escalating to the next level team for resolution, if needed.
Checking AXIOM Controller View batch failures in Controller View front-end and restarting as necessary.
User Management in AXIOM Controller View front-end.
User Management in Informatica Power Center front-end.

Project Description:
Logistics consists of different sets of web as well as standalone applications. These applications are used by business users across the bank to serve the different operational purposes of Investment Banking.
ITG is a tool developed by Mercury and is used by users to promote codes in different environments (UAT, PSP, PRD etc.) during release.
Key Roles :
Querying Oracle databases with SQL and PL/SQL in order to extract the business-requested data or to find the root cause of a feed posting related issue and solving it.
Working with file and process management commands in UNIX.
Providing technical support to a number of web-based and standalone applications. Analyzing user queries/issues on those applications and resolving them from either front-end or back-end as per the requirement.
Working on SAP – maintaining resource details, extracting various customized reports for audit purposes, extracting and analyzing archived data from SAP in order to find the cause of an issue.
Administrating user accounts(creating/updating/deleting) in Mercury ITG.
Communicating with business users across the globe to record a query or an issue with an application.
