I am currently seeking a position that will allow me to expand my contacts in the medical field. I graduated in June 2007 from Baptist School of Nursing. I spent the next two years in long term care, and am currently working in a clinical position as an assistant to a physician. I am willing to do some traveling if necessary, but I do prefer as stable position. I am a fast paced worker, who works well with others and learns new tasks easily. While employed at Elmcroft of Maumelle, I administered medications, did routine vital signs, helped CNAs with daily activities of living such as bathing, shaving, changing of briefs and laundry. I also helped the activity director with planned activities. Often I would be required to go into the locked down unit of the facility to administer medications and insulin, perform routine blood sugars, and help feed some of the patients who had trouble feeding themselves. There were 60 plus patients there most of which were dementia care. I also was on-call several times a month for the facility for the night shift CNAs.

Clinical LPN assistant to Dr. John Smith
I have been employed at the Banister-Lieblong Clinic for over two years now. I have performed many tasks while employed here. The following are only a few things that I have done while employed here: written lab letters to patients based on their lab reports, I have also done medication refills, electronic charting using the e-mds system, FMLA paperwork, assisting in pap smears, school physicals, and procedures (ranging in toe nail removals to cyst removals). Set patients up for specialist appointments, wound dressings, blood pressure checks, allergy injections, administered and read TB skin tests, cortizone and pneumovax. I have sterilized procedure instruments using a steam sterilizer. I have taken patient phone calls. I am also proficient with Microsoft Word, it is the main program I use when writing letters for patients for Dr. John. I have done many more small tasks while working at this clinic, I am much like a personal assistant to Dr. John, I make his personal phone calls, and do other requested tasks for him.
