Hello, I am interested in a licensed dental assistant position with your office. Having over 12 years of experience in general dentistry. Some of the attributes I have to offer include being a self-starter, great team player, organized allowing me to be very efficient, along with excellent communication skills both written and oral. I am dependable, with a great work ethic, and enjoy giving patients the best possible care along with trying to make it a more enjoyable dental experience for them. During my years of dental assisting, I have obtained many valuable experiences to include digital x-rays, digital charting for the doctor and hygienist, sterilization of instruments and operatories, equipment maintenance, taking and pouring up of alginates, lab work including whitening trays, study models, making temporary crowns, also completing child prophylaxis with placement of fluoride and sealants, chair side assisting with a wide variety of procedures including extensive oral surgery, root canals, crown and bridge procedures and some sedation dentistry. The office I was previously employed also provided a variety of education on patient education, explanation of treatment necessary, marketing, and visiting local schools for oral health presentations. I have some front desk experience, answering phones, patient intake, scheduling appointments, lab invoices, ordering and inventory of sedation drugs.
