Event Planning, Promotions and Marketing

Objective: To work with a passionate team of professionals where my experience with Promotions and Public Relations can help both the company and community to foster positive growth.

EXPERIENCE

Congressman Robert Wexler, Boca Raton, Florida / District Representative / March 2008 – present

· Primary responsibility for constituent communication and support via interaction from the Congressman to various local, federal and State agencies.

· Represents Congressman Wexler and constituents at community forums, Democratic Party roundtables and leadership development circles.

· Liaises effectively with local, state and government organizations to help private citizens gain important information regarding their rights and documentation.

Accomplishments: Assisted Congressman Wexler with a crucial issue involving a constituent and Citizenship and Immigration Services, resulting in a successful resolution to their domestic status. Coordinated resources for a Nonprofit Summit event held by Congressman Wexler, established linkage and collaboration between nonprofit organizations. Aided constituents with expediting passports in cases of emergency or crisis, which enabled citizens to travel without interruption.

Cox Radio, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida / Director of Promotions / August 2002 to November 2007

· Primary responsibility for all promotional activities for the station.

· Responsible for arranging for celebrity talent to attend promotions and charity events, including booking, arranging lodging, travel for talent and handling talent during events.

· Administrative support for on-air talent, including the facilitation of production for ad sales representatives.

· Provided supervision and training to 15 assistants.

Accomplishments: Served as Promotions Coordinator from August 2002 to December 2002, followed by a promotion to Director of Promotions for WAPE. Ran contest to acquire 95 winners and their families leading to an exclusive carnival culminating in a reverse lottery raffle for an Audi convertible. Arranged on-air contest leading to 3 Ladies Lunches for 50 winners with intimate performances by Lenny Kravitz, Bo Byce and Nick Lachey.
