I represent 32 years of expansive Manufacturing Operations training and experience. I demonstrated expertise in Warehouse and Inventory Management, building a Manufacturing Warehouse from the ground up. I was integral in the building of a Distillation and Reaction Factory, ultimately supervising its operation on a five day/ 24 hour schedule. My demonstrated abilities earned me the newly created position of Master Scheduler. We explored many ERP systems, including SAP, when making our selection. Developed Analytical Skills and Report Writing Skills employing MS Excel and MS Access.

A $120M privately founded, owned and operated Essential Oil Company. For over 4 decades the company was an industry leader in the import, export and refining of flavor and fragrance ingredients, for all the major food and consumer product manufacturers.
Master Production Scheduler/Planner March 2000 - 2011 Jersey City
Controlled the corporate MRP program. Demonstrated ability in managing all aspects of the Supply Chain process, from planned requisitions to the sale of finished goods. Excelled at Capacity Planning, creation of Bill’s of Material and Production Routings, including planned downtime for cleaning and maintenance.
Designed custom queries and reports using MS Excel and MS Access to monitor MRP and the Forecast for errors.
Manipulated short term scheduling that fell inside established time fences. Created routines in Excel to demonstrate “what if” scenarios to illustrate consequences of schedule changes.
Demonstrated ability to plan efficiently, eliminating costly downtime in production.
Improved forecast accuracy from under 30% to over 75%. This made MRP a trusted and valued tool company wide.
Commanded ownership of the Part Master. Redefined over 800 SKU’s Planning Policies, ultimately achieving our goal of 3-4 inventory turns annually on 60 day lead time raw materials, saving over 1.2 million dollars annually in inventory financing.
Initiated Lean type principles in the Operations Dept. This allowed for cross training of personnel, enabling Production, Logistics and Material Handling to be run with 65% less overtime expense. Daily Operation’s meetings ensured effective communication of progress as well as anticipated deficiencies.
Redefined the planning parameters for over 200 Flavor Ingredients as seasonal parts, in need of Daily Master Scheduling, with net savings >$400K annually.
Coordinated all raw material demands and production schedules, including at our own factory as well as 3rd party facilities.
Implemented and co-chaired weekly meetings between Sales, Inventory Management, Operations and Purchasing (SIOP). Member of the corporate HACCP committee.
Production Manager and Facility Manager April 2002 - 2011 Jersey City
Assigned with supervision of the cGMP compounding and repackaging operation. This division produced 250,000 lbs. weekly of fragrance, flavor and pharmaceutical blends and raw materials. This department consistently met a customer service level of 97% or better, in a safe and hygienic environment.
Developed and implemented a training and record keeping program using Excel, which always met or exceeded the requirements of regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, DEA etc.
Continuously met or exceeded the requirements of our Pharmaceutical Accounts in regards to training, cleanliness, record keeping and on time production.
Assigned with supervision of facility maintenance. Developed a computerized preventative maintenance schedule. Implementation decreased spare parts inventory and unexpected repair costs by over $100K annually.
Co-chaired a committee that developed and implemented a program to systematically work off inventory that had been written off the books. Successfully recouped about $2M in old inventory.
Facility Manager September 1996 - March 2000 Newark Plant
Assumed complete Managerial control of the entire plant. Reported to the Corporate Director of Manufacturing.
Warehouse & Production Set-up Manager January 1979 - September 1996 Newark Plant
Initiated the start-up of a new warehouse venture. Operated warehouse singularly for the first year, responsible for every aspect of shipping, receiving and inventory control.
Performed and supervised building, machinery and lift truck maintenance.
Assisted in construction and start-up of a distillation/reaction manufacturing plant within the facility.
Assisted in the integrating and computerization of inventory in this plant with the main frame computer in the corporate office.
Implemented bar coded inventory for the $4M dynamic inventory in the plant.
