EMPLOYMENT

Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator-Maintainer (25Q), Florida 2008-Present

I supervise installs, operate and perform unit level maintenance on multichannel line-of-sight, and tropospheric scatter communication systems, communications security devices, and associated equipment. I also install and maintain signal support systems to include terminal devices such as radios and Blue Force Trackers (BFT); Provide technical assistance and training for communications equipment; Prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit level signal support; Assist as the Alternate COMSEC Custodian, responsible for the management, organization, deletion and dispersion of over $66,00 worth of COMSEC materials. I am also responsible for the BFT upgrades. I maintain SKL’s making sure they are at standard set by 54th COMSEC.

In charge of training units’ personnel and keeping the Command Leadership abreast with day to day NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) issues, also maintaining NBC Equipment and Mission essential testing devices.

Trained and motivated junior personnel with preventative and corrective maintenance along with watch station qualifications within the work center. Assumed duties as Divisional Training Petty Officer, verifying all divisional records and ensured all personnel were assigned to Personnel Qualification Standards. Mediated multiple barrack/berthing disputes arriving at an amicable solution favorable to all parties.
