Machine Operator:
Inspection of marble floor tile looking for pits, burns, chips, and other
malformations. Also repaired a lot of the tile with resin. Hand boxed the 12x12
tile and sent through sealer and then off loaded line.
Polisher Operator. In this process you used different set ups of bricks for different
kinds of tile. I was the only one that had created a book with the different set
ups and the results so that other operators would have success. Also had to use
micrometers to measure the thickness of the tile and calipers to set up the saw
that cut the tile strips into to correct size.
Shipping/Sample Room. Worked with loading trucks, made sample books and
sample boxes of tile. Prepared them to ship UPS. Cut samples on saw and
cleaned them.
