PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Electronic Maintenance Chief, U.S. Army 1995 - Present*

Supervised, monitored, and directed the electronics maintenance mission of the U.S. Army. Supervised and performed direct and general support (DS/GS) level maintenance of all Army standard electronics equipment, systems, and associated devices, to include communications security (COMSEC) and controlled cryptographic items (CCI) devices. Developed and implemented unit level electronic maintenance programs. Developed and enforced policy and procedures for facility management. Organized work schedules and instructed subordinate personnel in the technical maintenance of field communications, electronics equipment and systems, and associated devices. Ensured repair of COMSEC devices complied with published security requirements. Provide advice and technical assistance to superiors. Request logistic support; assimilate and prepare reports and maintenance statistics. Successfully deployed Electronic Maintenance Platoons to Operation Iraqi Freedom I and III with no personnel or equipment loss or safety incidents earning both a Meritorious Service Medal and Army Accommodation Medal. Served as the primary advisor to the Brigade and Battalion Commanders on all aspects of Electronic Maintenance support. Wire Systems Equipment Repairman, U.S. Army 1985 – 1995

Performed and supervised maintenance on manual, semiautomatic, and selected transportable automatic electronic telephone central office systems using schematics and test equipment. Maintained relay-operated central office systems and electronic switching systems; uses test equipment including multimeters; uses circuit and wiring diagrams and schematics. Served as a crew chief; scheduled tasks and maintained maintenance forms and records; conducted quality control inspections on repaired equipment. Assigned specific duties to subordinates; established work load, work schedules, and priorities; provided technical assistance to subordinates; maintained technical library; initiate and maintained forms and records; responsible for records pertaining to repair parts; prepared and reviewed administrative reports; supervised quality control inspections.
