Working Experience and Functions.

1. A VOLUNTEER: NOAH”S ARK CHILDREN”S MINISTRY UGANDA, P.O BOX 355 MUKONO from 5th June 2009– March 2010.

Purpose; To plan, develop, formulate, organize, report and maintain effective working relationships and environmental standards with various operational departments for effective and efficient teamwork and results.

Key Responsibilities.

• To develop Human Resource policy to support organizational goals and ensure that the organization complies with legal requirements and best practices.

• Perform supportive function in various departments in order to fill the manpower gap for the effective results in the organization.

• Make mid and annual reports to be submitted to various Government offices and donor partners for effective funding and operations.

• Review, develop and propose optimal communication systems to ensure smooth flow of information to the relevant destinations.

• Participate in organizing, planning and implementing organization programmes in order to achieve its vision, mission and objectives.

• Develop Financial and Procurement policies for the organization to improve on financial management and accountability.

• Formulate Strategic plan for the organization to work as three year development plan 2009-2011 which will act as conceptual framework to direct the organization in institutional development, Resourcing and programming in order to realize its vision, mission and objective.

Achievements.

Objective: Coordinate and Administer two sister business companies i.e. F & B Solutions Ltd and Orbit Distributors.

Key Responsibilities.

• Provide administrative leadership in both the two sister companies i.e. F & B solutions ltd and orbit distributors.

• Coordinate orbit distributors i.e. Gulu, Mbarara and Hoima branches while based at head office kampala.

• Plan sales strategies to improve turnover and minimize competition from other players in the market.

• Prepare monthly business and financial reports entailing balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, credit sales status, inventory analysis and cash inflow and outflows.

• Ensure financial expenditure is contained as per company policy

• Provide marketing support of the products and services in two sister companies.

• Perform other activities as may be assigned.

Achivements.

• Cleared backlog of financial reports for seven months

• Increased sales of services and products to a tune of approximately two millions per month

• Saved the company from loss of at least 120,000 per month which was incurred as a result of poor accountability, leadership and record keeping.

• Developed East African market Strategy that improved marketing level thus increasing selling rate. This was done through emailing and phone marketing strategy that covered Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Southern Sudan, Tanzania, DRC-Kinshasha, Zambia, and Ethiopia.

• Improved financial monitoring through accountability to ensure transparency in the companies.

• Knowing many languages helped the company create confidence to clients especially the illiterate customers that only understand local languages since the company directors don’t know native languages

• Timely financial and business status reports where prepared and eased decision making.

• Ushered in the idea of route sales in orbit distributors that increased sales of biscuits in Hoima and Gulu which also increased cash inflow

• Maintained proper inventory records using efficient mechanism of daily reporting by branch staffs in order to curtail losses.
