n Responsibilities included general café duties including cashier, barista, food preparation and closing duties.
Starbucks Coffee Company September 2001-July 2007
n Barista- Responsible for customer service in an extremely fast-paced café environment. Duties included making coffee and espresso beverages to company standards consistently, working closely with others to achieve speed of service goals, maintaining a clean and inviting environment for customers and performing opening and closing duties of the café.
n Shift Supervisor- In addition to all barista responsibilities this position also included ensuring that company standards were being upheld by all employees and the facilitation of break schedules, training, daily bank deposits and placing and receiving orders.
n Assistant Store Manager- In addition to barista and shift supervisor positions, responsibilities also included assisting the store manager with scheduling, staffing and implementing strategies for meeting sales and budget goals. During this position I completed the Coffee Master Program.
n Store Manager- In addition to all barista and shift supervisor responsibilities this position also included staffing, scheduling, facilitating employee reviews and corrective actions, controlling café costs, training assistant managers, working closely with a district manager and other store managers to ensure that district and regional goals were implemented at the store level. While in this position, I also held the district’s specialist role of QASA (Quality Assurance Safety Assessment) Leader. This was a support position for all stores in my district with the main objective being to educate employees about cleanliness and food safety expectations.
