PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Electronic Cable Specialists Inc., Franklin, Wisconsin
January 1994 to present
Electronic Cable Specialists, Inc. (ECS) is a privately owned company specializing in the design and manufacture of avionic installation kits. This 25 year old company has grown rapidly to become the premier provider of avionic support products worldwide. The company, as well as the aviation industry as a whole, was severely impacted by the economic downturn and the 9-11 disaster. We downsized the company from over 300 to 150 employees, slashed operating costs, moved our banking relationship, and strategically repositioned the company’s sales efforts. ECS resumed profitable growth by 2004 and attained strong profitability on sales of $54 million in 2008. In 2009 the company was sold to a strategic buyer for a substantial premium.
