Resume:

May *, ****

To Whom It May Concern:

I was most recently a Postdoctoral Fellow working under the supervision of Prof. Marcel Schlaf at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The contract for my postdoctoral appointment expired on April 30, 2012 and I am available to start immediately.

My postdoctoral research entailed the in situ catalytic formation and high-pressure hydroformylation of biowaste to fuels and other industrially useful chemicals. My doctoral research was performed under the supervision of Prof. Lisa McElwee-White at the University of Florida (Gainesville, Florida), and involved the synthesis of organometallic heterobimetallic complexes for the electrocatalytic oxidation of alcohols followed by the electrochemical testing of these complexes. I acquired experience in synthetic organic chemistry whilst working for Prof. Rick Heldrich as an undergraduate student at the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) and gained experience in polymer synthesis whilst working for Dr. Fred Hutter at MWV Specialty Chemicals in North Charleston, SC.

I feel confident that my varied experience (both academic and industrial) will benefit me and the additional skills acquired, as a postdoctoral fellow for Prof. Schlaf will aid me in my approach to research from an industrial standpoint.

Please find attached my curriculum vitae containing further information relative to my background and skills. You may contact me directly by email (ji2io7@r.postjobfree.com) or by phone 226-***-****) with questions or to receive additional information. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Marie C. Correia
