Objective

While my primary background is Retail Manager, that does not limit my abilities. I have trained associates in matters of technology in a class room environment, as well as in the field. For the past 10 years, I have troubleshot hardware and software issues. I have setup wireless networks and installed anti-virus programs. I am familiar with MAC, PC, iPods, iPads, and iPhones. I obtained my Bachelor of Science and Associate degrees in Information Technology. I would like to take what I have learned from my previous experiences and apply to a career in Information Technology.

I have also have a background with Apple products and strong knowledge and hands on experience with Audio/Video home equipment, such as installing digital surround sound, HDTV 3D, Blu ray, and video game systems.

Store Manager in Training/Operations Manager

I was responsible for the day to day operations of running a big box retail store. I was in charge of training, coaching, safety, and loss prevention procedures. I was also in charge of price changes, inventory and Accounts Payable & Receivable. I recruited, interviewed, and worked as the Human Resources Representative. I was in charge of payroll, applications, I-9 Forms, tax forms, and any counseling. I trained all new associates on job skills and department needs.

I was responsible for day to day operations of running a retail store managing over 30 employees in a Big Box Retailer. Responsible for P&L, Shrink, Inventory, Training and Managing the employees. I was in charge of scheduling, payroll and HR functions. I trained all new associates, At this store I was the first manager in many years to obtain any bonus. The store was in the negative in profit and now it is in the black.

as well as three areas in Virginia. I was also a Supervisor for the Virginia area including Richmond, Va. Beach, and Hampton. I have experience in cold calling, online research, and various recruiting programs. I am proficient in creating and reading various reports. I am familiar with Microsoft Office and having a supervisory role in an office setting. I also assisted with setting up new users on the network. I was the point of contact in the office for IT issues. I assisted with relocating equipment, such as towers, monitors, hubs, and network equipment.

I Spent two years as a District Trainer of new technologies that involved classroom teaching and teaching in the field. I was in charge of Human Resources as well.
